Register here for my masterclass on modern Lebanese history and politics.

My name is Elia Ayoub and I’m a writer, journalist, historian and podcaster living in Brighton, UK.

I’m of Lebanese, Palestinian, Italian and Argentinian origins and I grew up in Ain Saadeh, Lebanon. I’ve also lived in London, Edinburgh and Geneva.

I’ve written for dozens of outlets, and my essays and articles have been published in a dozen or so books and journals. I often write about memory, hauntings, liminality, authoritarianism, and alternative futurities.

I’m currently working on a proposal for my first book, as well as a number of projects with my podcast, The Fire These Times, and/or newsletter, Hauntologies.
